Feeding the Soul will host the “KFTS Radio Varity Show” December 17
OLIVE US are so excited for this year’s annual Feeding the Soul concert!
The “KFTS Radio Variety Show” event will pay tribute to the old days of radio, and marks Feeding the Soul Foundation’s Second Annual Event at the beautiful auditorium of the Neurosciences Institute in La Jolla as part of their performing arts series. The family friendly show will feature musical guests Bushwalla, Raining Jane, and The Makepeace Brothers, plus special guests, unexpected friends, and surprise endings — comedy, magic and more. The evening will be hosted by award-winning magician and television host Justin Willman (“Cupcake Wars”, “HubWorld” and more). Tickets are $50 and available for purchase at http://KFTS.eventbrite.com.

Here’s one of our favorite moments from last year’s event when surprise guest Jason Mraz performed Beautiful Mess with Raining Jane.
And another moment that will send you right to the ticket page – unless you’re crazy… BTW – this event will sell out early. Here it is again for your convenience: http://KFTS.eventbrite.com

About Indigenous Education Foundation of Tanzania (IEFT)
IEFT is a community-collaborative organization, providing quality, affordable education to under-served children in rural Tanzania, East Africa. Through the organization’s collaborative model involving both village government and tribal leadership, IEFT staff members work alongside community members in the implementation of the organization’s projects. Straying from the common “aid giving” model, IEFT believes in empowering community members by providing youth with the knowledge and skills to create positive change within their own communities. Education is the key in breaking the cycle of extreme poverty.
Through the development of Orkeeswa Secondary School in the Arusha Region of northern Tanzania, IEFT provides secondary education to children who have no hope of continuing their education past primary school.
About Feeding the Soul Foundation:
The Feeding the Soul Foundation promotes concerts for causes, bringing community together in creative generosity. The foundation promotes local artists, charities and businesses that make a positive difference by creating events that draw attention and opportunity to their talents and intents. Proceeds of each show benefit a different local, national or global charity. Since its formation in March, 2010, the Feeding The Soul Foundation has donated more than $30,000 to organizations that feed the hungry, empower young women through music, promote environmental responsibility, and free slaves around the world. www.feedingthesoulfoundation.org

“Olive Us Deserve to Learn” Takes Over House of Blues
Oh what a night! Raining Jane headlined “From Me to You” Sunday at the House of Blues, in San Diego. The benefit concert supported “Olive Us Deserve To Learn”- a campaign designed by Feeding the Soul Foundation and Olive PR Solutions, Inc. to raise funds for The Indigenous Education Foundation of Tanzania (IEFT). Supporting bands included the Paul Cannon Band and The Lovebirds. We even had a surprise special guest!
“From Me to You” was the fourth installment of the “Olive Us Deserve to Learn” campaign. The year-long effort will support IEFT, a community-collaborative organization providing quality, affordable education to under-served children in rural Tanzania, East Africa. Education is perhaps the best, most reliable long-term solution to poverty in the developing world. Time and again, experts say that educating children, especially girls, is the key to ending the cycle of poverty, has positive effects on birth rates, sanitation, HIV / AIDS exposure, and the education of future generations.
A special congratulation goes out to Christine Cyr from the Paul Cannon Band, who welcomed her third child into the world shortly after the show. Click here to hear her amazing story!
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the cause! We look forward to seeing you at the next event on November 19 at the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living. Featuring music from Luc and the Lovingtons, The Makepeace Brothers and special guest host Bushwalla. Tickets on sale now!
